Lesson 6 – Algebra Problems: Quadratics, Exponents/Roots & Simultaneous Eqns

By miteach

LESSON 6 IS FINALLY HERE!!! REJOICE!!! (I know, I know. I’m late, and you guys deserve better). Some good news and bad news. The good news: I finally got rid of the black bars!!! :D The bad: I also got rid of the moustache… :< (See vid for details).

In this lesson, I go over a couple Algebra problems involving general operations and then get into specific ones related to factoring quadratic equations, exponents & roots, and simultaneous equations. The problems I review from “The Official SAT Study Guide” include:

- #17 p399
- #6 p460
- #8 p425
- #12 p475
- #9 p397
- #7 p473
- #8 p840

***IMPORTANTE! I forgot a major exponent rule to review! Specifically, when you have a number raised to an exponent that is raised to another exponent like (x^2)^3, you can multiply the exponents. In this case, you’d get x^6… OK I will update this vid ASAP to include this***
